A Japanese Summer
Five encounters in wine, sake & gastronomy
Curated by Jonas Kellens
This summer, Valke Vleug Winery is dedicated to Japanese gastronomy, artisanal sake and cool climate wines.
During August and September, the estate welcomes Japanese chefs, sake masters and culinary makers for five distinctive gastronomic encounters. From refined sushi and yakitori over open fire to rare sake and surprising combinations between Japanese flavours and the wines of Valke Vleug Winery and Vinetiq. Each concept offers a different perspective on taste, hospitality and the art of enjoyment.
The series is curated by Jonas Kellens, sake specialist and founder of DIM Dining*, who brings together people and stories that have inspired him for many years.
The serene setting of Valke Vleug Winery forms a natural backdrop for A Japanese Summer. Between the vineyard, Japanese art and the understated architecture of Vincent Van Duysen, a unique dialogue emerges with the values that also define Japanese gastronomy: calm, precision, beauty and attention to the moment.
One summer. Five encounters. Limited availability.
