This blend of Auxerrois and Chardonnay was vinified with drinking pleasure in mind. Aging in stainless steel tanks keeps it young and fresh, while contact with the lees provides necessary mouthfeel and structure. With natural fermentation and aging in large acacia wood barrels, the successor to the 2019 white Pinot Auxerrois is a complex, gastronomic wine. The nose is lively with citrus, spring blossoms, stone fruit, and a hint of toast. This extroversion continues on the palate with a combination of density and freshness. The acacia wood is beautifully integrated, giving the wine length and vigor. A touch of Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc adds extra breadth and tension.
